UH Mānoa Nursing has a variety of programs that support local and global communities. Healthcare outreach activities provide services to communities that might not otherwise have access to those services. Students, faculty, and staff from UH Mānoa Nursing perform community work in the areas of clinical services, education, and environmental sustainability.
Hawai‘i Keiki is a partnership between UH Mānoa Nursing and the Hawai‘i Department of Education and sits at the intersection of education and health to support the DOE to achieve student, school, and system success. UH Manoa School of Nursing is a state asset providing education and service while conducting research to improve health. We bring community knowledge, cultural competence, dedicated faculty, access to UH health sciences expertise, and a long term commitment to the success of Hawai‘i’s Keiki. We recognize that school success is impacted by poor health and that many conditions that affect children can be identified, treated, and managed while a child attends school.
