Sailing South by The Honolulu Star-Advertiser

students and sailors chat The USS Pearl Harbor left Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam on Saturday for the U.S. Pacific Fleet’s annual Pacific Partnership humanitarian mission. Wearing green shirts, University of Hawaii at Manoa nursing program instructors Gary Glauberman, left, and Teresa Parsons and nurses Marguerita Susich, Laurie Kukonen and Flora Alailima spoke with sailors aboard the ship.

The mission will visit Samoa, Tonga, Kiribati and the Marshall and Solomon islands, providing medical, dental, veterinary and civil engineering services.
