Safety Services

  • UHM Public Safety: The UH Manoa Department of Public Safety is committed to ensuring a safe and secure campus and serves the community with aloha.
  • Safety Escort Service: Provided by the Department of Public Safety (DPS), this service offers walking escorts and vehicle transportation from dusk till dawn for anyone on campus at night. Escorts are student employees of UHM DPS and will be wearing a blue shirt. The service is available to all members of the UHM community and escorts will assist you to any UHM facility. Please note that the escort service will not provide transportation off-campus.

Counseling

  • UH Manoa students can walk into the Counseling and Student Development Center to schedule an appointment or for more information on their programs and services. For immediate concerns about yourself or another student, you can call or walk into the Center during their regular office hours (Monday – Friday from 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.) or consult with the Crisis Line of Hawaii at (808) 832-3100.
  • If you or someone you know is in imminent danger, call 911.

Health Services

The University Health Services Mānoa (UHSM) is located near Kennedy Theater on Upper Campus. It is staffed by physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, nutritionists, pharmacists, laboratory technicians, and other support staff. A wide range of medical services and programs are offered, including general medical care, women’s health, sports medicine, psychiatry, dermatology, and nutrition clinics, as well as a pharmacy and clinical laboratory.

Although their primary service population is the students of UH Manoa, many services also are available to UHM faculty and staff and students from other UH campuses.
