Champions of Care Donor Appreciation Luncheon Recognizes Philanthropic Growth
The University of Hawaii at Manoa School of Nursing and Dental Hygiene recently hosted its Champions of Care Donor Appreciation Luncheon on October 23, 2025 at The Elks Lodge. It was a heartfelt celebration honoring the generosity and impact of the school’s dedicated supporters and showcased the deep partnership between the school and the community that sustains it. About 40 donors, alumni, faculty, staff and students attended the event.

Dean Clementina Ceria-Ulep shared that donor contributions have fueled a year of remarkable growth and achievement. She also shared the school’s recent achievements and future vision, inspiring continued engagement and investment in its mission.
The generosity of school donors directly supports student scholarships, innovative teaching, and essential health programs that improve care throughout Hawaii. The event underscored how philanthropy strengthens the local health care workforce, advances research, and ensures that future nurses and dental hygienists are well-prepared to serve with compassion and cultural understanding, creating a healthier future for all.

Most importantly, the luncheon fostered a deeper sense of connection and pride among supporters, students, faculty, and alumni, uniting the school’s community around a shared commitment to advancing health and well-being across Hawaii.
