Courtney DeConto is a pediatric nurse practitioner (PNP) and the APRN for the Nanakuli-Waianae Complex Area. She completed her Diploma in Nursing at Mercy School of Nursing in Charlotte, North Carolina, and then earned her MSN degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC). During her time at UNC, Courtney spent a semester being precepted in Pediatric Endocrinology. She is board certified as a PNP by the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board. Courtney is passionate about providing her patients and their families with care that is personalized and effective.
She has over 15 years of clinical experience in pediatric nursing. She started her career working on a pediatric inpatient floor at the UNC Children’s Hospital as an RN, transitioned to pediatric outpatient clinic work while pursuing her MSN, and began working as a pediatric primary care provider in Raleigh N.C. in 2013. She was one of the founding providers for The Queen’s West After Hours Center in 2017 and continues in her role as a provider here on an as-needed basis. For 2 years she served as the RN Supervisor for the Hawaii Keiki program. Her role as a Complex Area APRN with Hawaii Keiki has enabled her to blend her experience of Urgent Care and Primary Care in order to comprehensively meet the needs of students in the Nanakuli-Waianae Complex area.
