Biography

Cindy Shiraki is the Complex Area COVID-19 Resource RN for the Castle-Kahuku Complex Area. Cindy will function in a diverse set of roles that includes serving to support the school health assistant to ensure keiki are able to return safely and continue to thrive.

Originally from the state of Alabama, Cindy has lived in Hawaii for the past 34 years.  She is very familiar with public education and served as a substitute teacher and as a Parent Community Network Coordinator.  Cindy has more than 30 years of nursing experience in the intensive care, emergency room, and recovery room hospital settings. She has also served as a Clinical Nurse Educator, instructing staff in advanced cardiovascular life support, basic life support and pediatric advanced life support courses.  She received her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Hawaii Pacific University.

Cindy enjoys shopping, sporting events, power walking, swimming, talking, and spending time with her family.  She is passionate about doing her part to keep children and their families updated, safe, and healthy during this pandemic.  Cindy is known for her outgoing nature and enjoys providing services and getting to know to the students, parents, faculty, and teachers in the Castle-Kahuku Complex area.
