Wendy is an experienced RN with prior nursing experience in obstetrics and surgery at Kapiolani Medical Center for Women and Children. She was a nursing home surveyor in the State of Washington and served as a clinical instructor for maternal child health at UH Manoa Nursing. For several years, Wendy served as the director of clinical operations at the UH John A. Burns School of Medicine’s Department of OB/GYN and Women’s Health, as well as serving as the prior executive director at the Hawaii State Center for Nursing. She was most recently the interim executive director and clinical operations director for the Hawaii Keiki: Healthy & Ready to Learn program. Wendy also practices law, handling medical malpractice cases through representation of healthcare providers in the State of Hawaii.
In her role as the director for clinical placement, she will work with health partners to place nursing students into clinical experiences. Wendy received her JD at the UH William S. Richardson School of Law, MSN in Nursing Administration at UH Manoa Nursing, and BSN at Seattle University.
