Tuition & Fees
High School Direct Entry in Nursing, Traditional Bachelor of Science in Nursing, and UH West Oahu Pre-Nursing to UH Manoa Bachelor of Science in Nursing Programs
Students in the High School Direct Entry in Nursing, Traditional Bachelor of Science (BS) in Nursing, and UH West Oahu Pre-Nursing to UH Manoa Bachelor of Science in Nursing programs enroll through UH Manoa. Visit the Office of the Registrar’s Tuition & Fees page for the current tuition schedule. Tuition is charged per credit. Students enrolled in these programs, Traditional Bachelor of Science in Nursing and UH West Oahu Pre-Nursing to UH Manoa Bachelor of Science in Nursing Program, will be assessed the nursing student professional fee. All tuition and fee charges at the University of Hawaii campuses are subject to change in accordance with requirements of State law, action by the Board of Regents, or University administration (official tuition schedules).
Online RN to Bachelor of Science in Nursing Program
Students in the Online RN-to-BS in Nursing program enroll and register through the UH Mānoa Outreach College. Tuition is assessed on a per-credit basis, including mandatory fees, and rates are determined by each student’s residency status for tuition purposes. The nursing student professional fee is waived for Online RN-to-BS in Nursing students. Tuition and fee rates at University of Hawaiʻi campuses are subject to change in accordance with state law, actions of the Board of Regents, or decisions by University administration, as reflected in the official tuition schedules.
Other Fees
Students enrolled in the Traditional Bachelor of Science (BS) in Nursing, Online RN to BS, and UH West Oahu Pre-Nursing to UH Mānoa Bachelor of Science in Nursing programs are required to pay additional program-related fees as part of their clinical and academic requirements.
- CPR Certification Fee – Approximately $120–$150, valid for two years
Required to maintain compliance with clinical training and healthcare industry standards. Applies to students enrolled through UH Mānoa in the Traditional BS in Nursing, Online RN to BS, and UH West Oahu pathway programs. - SONDH Medical Records and Immunization Fee (University Health Partners/UHP) – Approximately $80 per year
Covers tracking and verification of required health records and immunizations. Students who do not meet vaccination or health compliance requirements may be unable to participate in required classes, clinical rotations, or practicum experiences at affiliated healthcare sites. - ATI Package Fee – $391.88 per semester for four semesters
Includes assessment testing, live review sessions, and supplemental learning resources such as dosage calculation modules, skills training modules, and Real-Life clinical learning tools.
Non-Resident Tuition Exemptions
The University of Hawaii Board of Regents allows eligible students under certain non-resident categories to pay the in-state tuition rate, or a lowered tuition rate. More information is available on the non-resident tuition exemption page.
Western Undergraduate Exchange
The Western Undergraduate Exchange (WUE) is a tuition program of the Western Interstate Commission for Higher Education (WICHE). The WUE tuition rate is 150 percent of the University’s current resident tuition rate. Please visit the UH Manoa Admissions WUE page for more details.
