UHM Nursing Students Volunteer at the 2014 Great Aloha Run

On Monday, February 17, 2014, 48 UH Manoa Nursing students assembled at Aloha Stadium at 5 a.m. to volunteer at the 2014 Great Aloha Run. The students, recruited and organized by the Student Nursing Organization (SNO), served as medical volunteers and helped to spot race participants in need of medical assistance. UH Manoa’s SNO group had the second largest volunteer turnout of any participating group that morning. The Great Aloha Run event also represented the largest nursing student turnout at any SNO service project this year. Volunteers had a wonderful time and were honored to participate in this local annual event.
