Dr. Kyoung Eun Lee Elected as President of the Hawaii Korean Nurses Association

The School of Nursing & Dental Hygiene (SONDH) at the University of Hawaii at Manoa is proud to announce that Dr. Kyoung Eun Lee, Associate Professor, has been elected as the President of the Hawaii Korean Nurses Association (HKNA), a non-profit organization. Dr. Lee is a dedicated educator, researcher, and advocate for health equity. She has been deeply committed to serving Korean communities across the U.S. for the past two decades, including in Minnesota, Washington, Texas, and Hawaii.
From 2011 to 2023, Dr. Lee served as the Chair of the Board of Directors for the North Texas Korean Nurses Association where she played a pivotal role in supporting Korean American nurses and advancing culturally responsive healthcare initiatives. As HKNA President, Dr. Lee will lead initiatives that foster professional excellence, strengthen community partnerships, and advance culturally responsive healthcare services. The school celebrates her achievements and looks forward to the impactful leadership she will bring to HKNA and SONDH.
