Tuition & Fees

Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene Program

Students in the Bachelor of Science (BS) in Dental Hygiene enroll through UH Manoa. Visit the Office of the Registrar’s Tuition & Fees page for the current tuition schedule. Tuition is charged per credit. Students enrolled in these programs will be assessed the dental hygiene student professional fee. All tuition and fee charges at the University of Hawaii campuses are subject to change in accordance with requirements of State law, action by the Board of Regents, or University administration (official tuition schedules).

Non-Resident Tuition Exemptions

The University of Hawaii Board of Regents allows eligible students under certain non-resident categories to pay the in-state tuition rate or a lowered tuition rate. More information is available on the non-resident tuition exemption page.

Other Fees

Students enrolled in the Bachelor of Science (BS) in Dental Hygiene are required to pay additional program-related fees as part of their clinical and academic requirements.

  1. CPR Certification Fee – Approximately $120–$150, valid for two years
    Required to maintain compliance with clinical training and healthcare industry standards.
  2. SONDH Medical Records and Immunization Fee (University Health Partners/UHP) – Approximately $80 per year
    Covers tracking and verification of required health records and immunizations. Students who do not meet vaccination or health compliance requirements may be unable to participate in required classes, clinical rotations, or practicum experiences at affiliated healthcare sites.

Western Undergraduate Exchange

The Western Undergraduate Exchange (WUE) is a tuition program of the Western Interstate Commission for Higher Education (WICHE). The WUE tuition rate is 150 percent of the University’s current resident tuition rate. Please visit the UH Manoa Admissions WUE page for more details.
