Nursing Faculty Selected for National Leadership Role

Assistant Professor Frankie Hale has been selected to serve on the Nursing for Women’s Health (NWH) Editorial Advisory Board. The practice journal of the Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN), NWH has a mission to translate evidence into nursing practice to improve health outcomes for individuals, families and populations.
Dr. Hale’s role will include serving as a peer reviewer for the publication, whose target audience includes nurses, advanced practice nurses, midwives, and interdisciplinary teams working in women’s and gender-related health, childbearing care and neonatal health. Dr. Hale will also keep current on cutting-edge research, through her own work as well as through staying up-to-date with the work of others. She will actively recruit manuscripts from nurse researchers across the globe while promoting NWH through speaking engagements and simply sharing the journal with non-AWHONN members.
