UH Manoa Nursing is planning to start the DNP program in August 2012.

Program Description

The program is designed as a post-master’s program to meet our statewide demand for a highly competent nursing workforce equipped with the skills to ensure the delivery of safe, quality nursing care in Hawaii.Building on the master’s program curriculum, the DNP is designed as a professional (practice) doctorate integrating evidence based practice, quality improvement, and systems leadership to prepare experts in specialized advanced nursing practice. The DNP is targeted to nurses seeking a terminal degree in nursing practice and will complement the present research focused PhD in nursing program.
