Biography
Lina Monfort has been in Hawaii since 2003 and has taught at UH Manoa Nursing as a Lecturer since 2011. She began her nursing career as a member of the Army Nurse Corps. Her areas of clinical experience include high risk pregnancy, mother-baby care, medical–surgical, women gynecological surgical, critical care, telemetry, pediatric and surgical admission center. She teaches in the undergraduate program and in the GEPN pre-licensure program. Monfort grew up in Panama and was raised amid strong nursing examples from her maternal grandmother and aunts. She is fluent in Spanish and believes in mind-body-spirit nursing approach.
