Program Description
The Post-Master’s in Organizational Leadership program at the University of Hawaii at Manoa is a part-time, online, cohort-based pathway designed for nurses who are ready to elevate their leadership skills and drive systemic change in healthcare. The duration and number of credits required to complete the program will depend on the student’s previous education, post-baccalaureate practicum hours, and professional experience. Electives
To enrich and personalize your Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) journey, six-semester credits of graduate-level elective coursework (500 level or above) may be required to complete the program. These electives, which must be taken after entry into the program, offer you the chance to tailor your learning to align with your unique interests, career goals, and DNP project focus.
Elective courses provide a valuable opportunity to deepen your expertise in specific areas of nursing practice or leadership, while allowing you to explore new topics that contribute to your professional growth. In consultation with your academic advisor, you will choose electives that either enhance your DNP project or foster your ongoing professional development.
Curriculum
Enrollment in equivalent courses in other UH schools or offered by NEXus may be taken to ensure timely student progression. Students participate in a mandatory orientation during the first week of instruction each semester.
