UH Manoa Nursing online graduate program rises to top 25% nationally
Honolulu, Hawaii (January 9, 2018) – U.S. News & World Report has ranked UH Manoa Nursing among the nation’s best online graduate nursing program. UH Manoa Nursing placed 35th out of 154 schools, ranking Manoa in the 23rd percentile. Last year, UH Manoa Nursing ranked 61st out of 144 schools. UH Manoa Nursing is the only nursing school in Hawaii to be ranked for online education.
The U.S. News & World Report 2018 Best Online Graduate Nursing Programs ranking of master’s degree programs in nursing assessed quality through student engagement, faculty credentials and training, peer reputation, student services and technology, and admissions selectivity.

UH Manoa Nursing offers a master’s degree in an online distance learning format. The Advanced Population Health Nursing (APHN) program is a distance-based master’s degree for registered nurses who wish to practice in Hawaii, the US mainland, or in an international setting. The program focuses on population-level health, wellness, and health promotion and disease prevention. Coursework is completed via online learning and fieldwork is conducted in the student’s own local community. The 30-39 credit program is designed to be completed in one year as a full-time student or in two years as a part-time student.
