Biography
Taryn Higa has been faculty member at the University of Hawaii at Manoa School of Nursing for more than 10 years. She teaches in the undergraduate program in N210 and N360 and has experience teaching the the GEPN pre-licensure program. She obtained her BSN and MSN at the University of Hawaii at Manoa, specializing in nursing education and Clinical Systems Management. Taryn’s clinical expertise is in cardiac critical care and practices at The Queen’s Medical Center at Punchbowl in the Cardiac Critical Care Unit. She is actively involved in the development of collaborative education as well as the integration of critical thinking in the clinical setting and across the curriculum. She holds professional society memberships with the American Association of Critical Care Nurses and Sigma Theta Tau International.
