In Fall 2021, the Hawaii Interprofessional Education (HIPE) collaborative along with the Hawaii Department of Health (DOH) Genetics Program, the University of Hawaii Pacific Basin Telehealth Resource Center (PBTRC), HMSA Foundation, University of Hawaii, and the Hawaii Keiki Program, launched an online Telehealth Interprofessional Education module series with curriculum specifically designed for Athletic Training, Nursing, Pharmacy, Public Health, Social Work, and Interprofessional Collaborative Practice applications.

TIPE

The goal of the modules are to prepare students across the health professions for telehealth interprofessional collaboration by describing different telehealth models and explaining the benefits of each. The modules are currently being piloted with a cohort of Social Work students and will be added to the Nursing curriculum in Spring 2022.
